About CasinoCompass

CasinoCompass compares online casino sites available to players in the UK. We are a publisher, not an operator — you cannot gamble on this site, and we hold no gambling licence.

What we do

We review casino operators against a fixed set of criteria and publish the results as scores, rankings and written reviews. The same five areas are assessed for every operator, so the comparison between two sites means something.

We do not accept payment for a position in a ranking. Where an operator pays us, it is a commission on traffic, and that arrangement is disclosed on every page that links to them.

How we make money

When a reader follows a link to an operator and opens an account, we may receive a commission. That is how the site is funded and it is the only revenue model here.

This creates an obvious tension, and pretending otherwise would be worse than naming it: a site paid by operators has an incentive to be generous about operators. Our answer is a published methodology, a fixed scoring framework applied identically to every site, and rankings that are not for sale. Judge the site on whether the criticism in our reviews reads like it was written by someone willing to lose a commission.

What our scores are not

Our scores are editorial assessments made by our team. They are not user ratings, not an aggregate of anyone else's reviews, and not a prediction of what any individual player will experience.

Nothing on this site is advice to gamble. Gambling is a form of entertainment with a cost, not a way to make money.

Corrections

If something here is wrong — an offer that has changed, a payment method that is no longer supported, a licensing detail we have misstated — tell us and we will correct it and update the review date.

Play responsibly

Gambling should be treated as entertainment, never as a way to make money. Only stake what you can comfortably afford to lose, and take a break if it stops being fun.
